Following the ongoing success of our Screen Acting classes with Karen Henthorn, we wanted to extend the chance to work with her to those who cannot attend those classes in the evenings.

This introductory Screen Acting weekend is a two day 'power shot' touching on the essentials needed for auditions, jobs, script analysis and emotional connection.

Day 1 begins with recognising your casting, discussing your USP's and working on idents whilst playing space, remaining open and engaging. The day then moves into short monologue work, touching upon emotional connection and using the 'self' to connect emotionally without demonstrating. These monologues are then used to look at 'active listening'-working in pairs to really find a truthful inner-monologue. Finally, reading new scripts in pairs to be worked on the following day.

Day 2 moves onto scene work, working with scripts in your pairs. Each pair will focus on one particular element of filming; hitting marks, prop work, continuity, whilst the class watch, input and discuss how the work progresses.

All the footage will be available to you to watch back and further reflect on your work. Places are limited to ensure that every actor on the course receives excellent 'hands-on' time. Click below to Sign Up!

NB: Participants must be available for BOTH days. Please check your availability before submitting your application. The work is completed over two days and missing a day will not only hinder you, but your scene partner.
