About Emma Trow


Emma trained originally as an opera singer at the Royal

College of Music and then went on to gain her Masters in Musical Theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Emma has performed professionally in both music theatre and as a recording and solo artist since early



Emma has been teaching singing alongside her performance career for over twenty years and it has become a second vocation. The combination of Estill and Hustler techniques as well as being a qualified Pilates instructor means that Emma offers a bespoke service which can open the voice through physical rehabilitation, creative and expressive connection, and a solid foundation of knowledge of the anatomy of both the larynx and the body as a whole.

The 6 Week Course

Emma's classes will cover everything the singing actor needs. Focussing on the idea of Acting Through Song with an understanding of technique, these classes will either prove an enlightening insight into a new medium or a re-cap and refresh of work you've alredy touched on, developing your repertoire. Rob's professional and ameniable approach means that along with his professional experience, he can support you through nerves, nuance and new pieces, dissecting the text, working on objectives and devloping the piece with a focus on story-telling, along with a good technique. This 6 week course culminates in a singing performance at 53two open to the public but also a great platform to showcase your work to industry professionals.

Leonie- Marie Richardson



Emma has taught at GSA, Italia Conti, PPA, Mountview, and London Studio Centre, and has run her own private practice from both London and Manchester working with professional musical theatre performers.


Emma is a devoted mum and in her spare time is a writer and director with several full musicals written and performed at fringe venues in London and Manchester to date. Emma currently works at the Arden School of Theatre and is loving her new life in the glorious North.
